Education

Watchdog is in New Zealand a specialist ISP providing internet content filtering solutions to schools, school districts, and education authorities. This allows schools to ensure that their students can access the material that is appropriate for their aims.

  • We can also provide technologies that ensure that child sexual abuse images (CSAI) are not present on their own networks.
  • We provide consulting services to assist them in setting policies in this area due to the expertise we have and the experience that we have.

Our recommended solutions involve technology from

  • NetClean- the Whitebox for blocking access to CSAI
  • ProActive for identifying CSAI within or entering corporate networks
  • Marshal8e6 for flexible and extensive web content filtering options

Watchdog has held a contract with the Ministry of Education in New Zealand since 2004 and under this is currently providing managed internet services to around 1200 schools, around half the country.  The Watchdog CampusNet service includes web filtering, email filtering and managed firewall services.  We are also providing our services directly to schools connected to urban fibre loop networks.

Watchdog International are filtering specialists providing filtering technologies and consulting services for ISPs to provide education based filtering services.
