NetClean ProActive Management Console

NetClean Management Console runs the whole system - everything from distribution of database updates to receiving incident reports about suspected child pornography. The administrator of the management console is notified via e-mail or SMS if a pornographic image of children is detected.

NetClean ProActive Management Console

NetClean ProActive is a centrally run software system which protects company networks from child pornography. The system is made up of two parts: a Management Console and agents connected to it. The agents either monitor Internet and e-mail traffic coming in to the company or scan all files received by and stored on individual computers.

All  products connect to the NetClean Management Console (NMC). Examination of pictures is set up for the agents through the NMC. NetClean Management Console also receives incident reports about suspicious material from the agents. NMC notifies designated personnel within the organization, by SMS or e-mail, if an agent finds an illegal image. This means that the administrator does not need to continuously supervise the system. Instead he receives an alarm if an incident occurs.

NetClean Management Console must be run 24x7 to receive incident reports and notify personnel. If the NMC server is not on for some reason, agents save all incidents locally. The next time the agent is connected to the NMC a report is submitted about what happened. The local incident log is then erased. This is useful for agents installed on laptops outside the local network or if the NMC server is not on.

NetClean Management Console updates its image code database automatically against NetCleans update server.

NMC then distributes its updates to the agents. Software is not automatically updated; this ensures certainty about which version is installed on the computers
